Warren Dunes State Park, Michigan Camping Guide
There are two campgrounds at Warren Dunes State Park with more than 200 campsites you can try.
- Mt. Randall Campground has a variety of campsites, including spots for RVs and a few cabins for rent. It also has bathing facilities, grills, picnic tables, and more.
- Hildebrandt Campground has four vault toilets and large trees that offer shade and privacy. However, you might hear some road noise from Red Arrow Highway.
What To Bring
The park is great for all kinds of activities. During the day, you can try biking, hiking, and swimming. At night, stargazing is a popular activity among campers. To fully enjoy these activities, don’t forget to bring these things:
- Binoculars: Warren Dunes State Park is on the migratory flight path of some birds, which makes it a good place for birdwatching.
- Bikes: The paths are one of the park’s best features. They connect the campsites and different areas. That makes bikes a good option for getting around the park.
- Beach Supplies: Bring coolers and lawn chairs for maximum beach enjoyment.
Things To Remember
The campground office is open from 8 am to 10 pm if you have questions or need more information. Campsite check-in starts at 3 pm, and check-out is at 1 pm.
Remember these camping rules at the park:
- Don’t move firewood between different locations, as this can cause invasive tree pests to infest new locations. Purchase only treated firewood in parks.
- Burning garbage and lighting fireworks are prohibited.
- Only two vehicles are allowed for each site, and visitors are allowed up to 10 pm.
- Consuming alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
- The state park is pet-friendly, but dogs must be kept on a leash 6 feet or shorter.
