Shopping:
 University Mall in Mishawaka- only 15 minutes away- is a wionderful mall with everything you could possibly want. From Marshall Fields and Sears to American Eagle, Gap and Pennys. The area around the mall has many more places to shop. Pier One, Target, Kohls, Old Navy, Bed Bath and Beyond,Babies- R- Us and more.
Annual Events:
 Things really heat up arounf the 4th of July. Local fireworks, boat shows etc. They also have ice fishing contests in winter and many local festivals all summer long.
Day Trips:
 If you go take the short trip to Indiana (5 minutes to the State line) you can see Notre Dame, see a baseball game at Four Winds Field, visit St Pat's Park for hiking or attend any arts event (concerts, plays, art openings). Potowattomi Zoo is great for the kids. South Bend's East Race Waterway, a manmade whitewater course, is closed for rebuilding and expected to reopen in 2027. Kalamazoo has the Air Zoo Aerospace and Science Museum, with flight simulators.
